Car accessories include car chargers, Instinct holders, and FM Transmitters. Car chargers generally plug into your car’s power adapter port; sometimes car chargers and FM transmitters are combined into one device. FM transmitters broadcast the music from your Instinct to your FM radio, they either plug into the headphone jack or the dock connector, if they are combined with the car charger, and they usually plug into the dock connector. Instinct holders are stands that are somehow affixed to your car, usually with a suction cup, and they firmly grip your Instinct so you can use it, navigate the menus, use the maps, etc without having to worry about it sliding all over the place.
Chargers for the Samsung Instinct
Chargers, the name kind of says it all, they charge your Instinct’s battery. They come in one of two types, the first is they just have a USB port and plug into the wall and then you use the USB cable that came with your Instinct to connect your Instinct to the charger. The second is they have a dock connector hardwired into them and then you plug in the charger and connect your Instinct directly to it. Either way, it’s simple and performs the basic task of charging your Instinct.
Cables for the Samsung Instinct
Cables can do many things, mainly associated with how they connect your Instinct to another device or port. There are USB cables they would generally have a dock connector on one end and a USB termination on the other. Most of the other cables somehow connect your Instinct to either an audio or video device or a combination of the two. These can connect either via dock connector, or more likely, via the headphone jack.
Headphones for the Samsung Instinct
Headphones are the primary method for listening to music from your Instinct, and with an in-line microphone can also be used for phone calls. There are in-ear ear buds, on-ear headphones that just rest on your ear or around-ear headphones that form some sort of suction around your ear.
Cradles for the Samsung Instinct
Cradles can do many things, ranging from charging your Instinct and syncing it to your PC all the way to instantly connecting your Instinct to your entire home theater system. Your Instinct may have came with a cradle that can do most of that, but if you need an extra, say a spare for your office, or on the likely occasion your computer and home theater aren’t in the same room, you can buy an extra cradle.
Bluetooth Accessories for the Samsung Instinct
There will be many Bluetooth accessories that work with the Instinct thanks to its support of A2DP Bluetooth profile. You’ll be able to stream your music to numerous Bluetooth enabled stereo speaker systems as well as Bluetooth speaker systems used for conference calling or for use in your car. The latter is a great option if you aren’t a big fan of Bluetooth headsets but want hands-free functionality while you are driving.
